Thermal Transfer Ribbons

There are three recognized grades of thermal transfer ribbons. They are wax, wax/resin and resin.

WAX RIBBONS

D. Cole Labels offer general purpose resin enhanced wax ribbons for use when printing onto coated and uncoated label material. Using wax ribbons is the most economical form of thermal transfer printing and a wide range of ribbon sizes are available directly from stock.
Using our high performance wax ribbons from world renowned ribbon manufacturers will ensure a clear, crisp and consistant print quality and will increase the life expectancy of your thermal print heads compared to many products in the market place.

WAX/RESIN RIBBONS

A premium wax/resin grade that provides optimum print performance when printing barcodes, text and graphics on a wide range of label stocks. It also has good abrasion resistance meaning it is fairly resistance to scratches.

RESIN RIBBONS

A premium super resin grade that has been engineered for a maximum print performance which delivers durable, scratch resistant performance for the most demanding applications. For use on all thermal transfer printers using a flat head technology. The printed image will have a good resistance to high temperature and solvents.
